ABOUT

Shaniqua Mayers is an Environmental Changemaker with a passion for educational and knowledge translation. Shaniqua holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Language and Intercultural Relations and a certificate in Indigenous Knowledge and Experiences.

Shaniqua served as the Senior Manager of Learning & Development at Starfish Canada. She is the Community & Knowledge Development Lead at Through the Trees Environmental Institute, and the Knowledge Mobilization Manager for Terra Elysium. Currently, she is pursuing her Master of Education, specializing in Social Justice education.

She is passionate about making knowledge accessible and turning learning into real-world change. Shaniqua’s work lives at the intersection of education, equity, and sustainability. This includes designing community programs, leading workshops on environmental justice, and helping organizations build more inclusive spaces.
