CAROLINA FERNANDEZ
Grants Coordinator
ABOUT
Carolina Fernandez is a Public Administration and Governance student at Toronto Metropolitan University. As an Ecuadorian-Canadian newcomer, she brings a global perspective and a strong commitment to environmental sustainability, community engagement, and public service.
Her dedication to service began in Ecuador, where she founded Teaching Smiles, a not-for-profit initiative that provided English and math lessons to children from low-income communities. This experience shaped her understanding of the challenges many communities face and strengthened her commitment to creating meaningful and lasting impact through service and leadership.
Carolina is particularly interested in the role of public institutions in improving access to essential resources and supporting inclusive communities. Looking ahead, Carolina plans to pursue a career in law with a focus on public service. She aims to support the development of policies that expand access to community resources and improve the quality of life for diverse populations.
