OLIVER HORTON

ABOUT
Oliver Horton is the Governance Committee Chair at the Terra Elysium Foundation, bringing over 30 years of leadership experience in the retail and consumer products industry. He has held senior roles at organizations including Lowe’s/RONA, Canadian Tire, Walmart Canada, ASDA, and Mars Incorporated, with career experience spanning the U.K., U.S., and Canada.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of London and completed the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School Executive Education.
Oliver is passionate about community service and recently served as a Primary Care Paramedic with Toronto EMS after earning his diploma and AEMCA certification. A strong advocate for good governance, he prioritizes transparency and accountability in all leadership settings.
He actively mentors young entrepreneurs and advises several small businesses in Canada and the U.K. as an investor and non-executive director. Originally from Lancashire, U.K., he has called Toronto home for the past 20 years. His work with Terra Elysium reflects a lifelong commitment to empowering communities and supporting environmental stewardship.
